Summer Update

With Summer right around the corner, we are gearing up for our busiest season of the year. With that, we thought we’d post an update about some changes to the shop, recent inventory ups and downs, service requests, shop events, and more. Find out all that you need to know about what’s what with a very Wooden Wheels Summer below.

Shop Events, Closures, Updated Hours, and Local Rides

Shop Events:

1: Monday, July 4th – Wooden Wheels 4th of July Group Ride, Party, and Fireworks

Show up at the shop on Monday, July 4th at 5pm for a group ride through White Clay and Middle Run (road rides welcome as well). The ride will last about 2 hours. After which we will return to the shop, hydrate, and then cruise from the shop through Redd Park to the Newark Reservoir to watch the yearly Fireworks (weather depending).

2: Second Sundays – Social Rides From Wooden Wheels

This is kind of new for us, but since we will be updating our hours to be closed on Sundays, we will be holding social rides on every second Sunday of the summer months. So show up between 9am and 10am (departing at 10am) on the dates listed below for a ride lasting about 2 hours before returning to the shop for food and beverages.

Shop Service

Summer is usually our busiest season. Service has been steadily increasing over the last few months and we are seeing a huge uptick in service requests and upgrades since moving to our new location at 208 Louviers Drive, Newark.

Currently, we are a week out on repairs and we anticipate being upwards of a month out within the next two – three weeks. That being said, it would be a great idea to bring your bike in sooner rather than later for any service, upgrades, or adjustments (especially before you sign up for any of the rides listed above!)

Check out our service page for SOME of the services that we offer.

Inventory Updates

BIKES! BIKES! BIKES! With over 60 bikes on the floor of the shop right now, it’s (almost) safe to say that bicycle inventory is starting to return back to normal. Some hot sellers are listed below.

Be sure to swing by the shop and check out our full inventory of bikes! All new bicycle purchases include a complimentary tune-up from us, along with the security and know-how that comes with working with your local bike shop.

Lastly, we have re-upped on shop kits in a variety of sizes. Each kit includes a premium Primal Jersey with three rear pockets and an associated bib short for $249.99. Look good, feel good, ride great!
